Talk by Anna Canning of Floramedica
April 19 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
This is BOG’s contribution to the series of winter talks held at Ormiston Institute Melrose. Our chosen speaker on the National Tree Collection of Scotland is unable to make this date but Anna Canning of Floramedica has kindly agreed to give a talk in his place on our use of plants. Her “mission” is to bring knowledge about wild plants (often known as weeds) to the wider community. By this means she hopes to find practical ways of involving more people in using plants for their medicinal, nutritional and herbal properties.
Directions to our events
Many of BOG's events are held at members' own houses and gardens and we are a little cautious about making that information too public.
Directions for members:
You can find directions to each of our Events in the BOG magazine and in the e-news letter sent out regularly by email.
Directions for non-members
Not a member yet? We'd be delighted to see you at our events and perhaps persuade you of the benefits of joining us as well. Please get in touch with us first using the contact details on the BOG Contact page
Notifying visit hosts and workshop organisers
Following feedback, we felt it would be useful for the volunteers hosting garden visits and workshops to have an idea of how many people might be coming. So, please contact the host in the week before the event if you are planning to attend.
E-mail is usually the best way to do this. If you don't have e-mail please phone. We will try to make sure contact details are provided in each event listing in the BOG magazine, and in the e-news updates sent by email.
Also, don't feel you can't go if you haven't been in touch and don't worry if your plans change on the day.
