Nick and Joyce have recently seen their eco-house finished and are now turning their thoughts to the design of the garden. As part of the design process they’d like opinions and suggestions from fellow BOG members.

A visit to Northumbria Basketry Group at Whitton near Rothbury, followed by a garden visit to a nearby Arts and Crafts garden, much restored and developed over the past 14 years.

Visit Farm conservation in action near Lowick

Hunting Hall is a small, traditional family farm of 278 acres, built on a rise above the Low stream and owned by Tom & Karen Burn. The farm has 230 acres of arable land, which is let under a farm business tenancy. Owners and tenants work together in a very successful partnership; farming with sensitivity towards the environment and enhancing the countryside for wildlife.
